Outside of Lira (In Rebel Territory) our Land Rover exploded......we limped back to Lira and were (miraculously) able to find not only a mechanic....with 6 student helpers, but the parts to fix the car. In 3 hours, he had taken out the engine in his back yard, parts everywhere..........replaced the bad stuff and had us back on the road. Total cost: $20.00 |

These are children and children of children up in Gulu.............a European Childrens Trauma Center. We noticed that at centers where Christ was not cental, the kids were just much more agressive and almost hyper-active |

My son and I and a friend went to some of the IDP Camps in Gulu (Internally Displaced Persons Camps.............where people of Uganda were forced to leave there homes because of the Rebel Violence in there areas. There are nearly 2,000,00 people in camps.............the AIDS rate is near 70% and Alcaholism is nearly epidemic. It is a place where our hearts were broken |
